ABOUT THE ARTISTS

MAMADOU & SAMA YOON

Their music is extremely addictive rhythms from the border of etno folk, afrobeat, oriental, jazz and reggae that hypnotize and make you dance. The group was founded on the initiative of Mamadou Diouf - a Senegalese artist who is one of the precursors of African music in Poland. The band's concerts are an interesting journey through African culture and customs, and in combination with the dance character of the songs, they become an excellent food for both body and soul. The song lyrics are mainly in Wolof (Mamadou's native language). They tell about longing for the country, love, tradition, respect for other people and the search for knowledge.

The band combines the best of funk, jazz and African music. Their arrangements make the stage red hot. The Afronauts landed in Krakow in January 2019, astonishing the audience that was not prepared for such a powerful dose of energy. AYOUB HOUMANNA

Houmann's Ayoub travels the world collecting along the way, like spices for his musical tajine, the metaphysical nature of Saharan Berber blues, the virtuosity of fiery flamenco and the innovation of Western music. The artist will gladly take you on a journey and in accordance with his motto: "life is music and music is an adventure", he will show you not only the distant landscapes of music but also the closeness of all of us in dance, music and love to the world around us

EL MEZOUARIAThe Sahara's expansion to southern Africa is to be contained by a million-tree wall stretching from Senegal to Djibouti. The desert, having heard about the plans of the inhabitants of the Black Continent, decided to expand in an immaterial way, in a completely different direction.

Its messenger is Mustapha El Boudani, a native of M'hamid El Ghizlane - the gateway to the sands of the Sahara. By singing hypnotic songs in the traditional Hassane language, he dragged him like quicksand into the task assigned to him by the musicians of Europe and the United States. Now, in a composition named after the Sahrawi dunes, they want to shower you with sound. Note by note, grain by grain by the wind, it absorbs like dunes - Mesouaria

The team consists of:

Mustapha El Boudani - vocal, guitar, gumbri, djembe
Jakub Jantos - drums / percussion
Sam Levin - bass, percussion/drums
Mateusz Czarnecki - Tenor saxophone, djembe
Michał Sosna - Tenor/baritone saxophone, vocals
Leopold Zawadzki - Guitar, Djembe
